We apply Bowen therapy in case of backbone pains and sciatica, neck and shoulder problems, luxation of an ankle, sports injuries, but also for headaches, stress and depression.

It arouses the ability of the body for self-healing and balances all its imbalanced functions. It is one of the most efficient and most versatile manual therapeutic techniques.

Bowen therapy is sometimes referred to as Bowen method or Bowen technique. The treatment consists of a series of gentle movements of different pressure intensity, adapted to every individual.

It is preceded by a conversation with the therapist supplying information about the health status of the patient. The treatment is performed through the skin or light clothing in a lying or sitting position by specially trained and certified therapists.

With gentle and precise gestures the therapist moves over specific spots all over the patient’s body: muscles, tendons, fasciae, ligaments, joints, nerves and lymph nodules. This facilitates the recovery from many ailments, both traumatic and chronic.

Gentle movements affect one or more structures, while at any movement fascia is activated. Fascia is the membrane that wraps and keeps together each organ and tissue in our body.

The result is a sense of warmth, deep relaxation and alleviated pain as well as the capability of the body to resume its balance at the emotional and mental level.
